Card Making Challenges · Stampin' Up!

How about a Challenge?

Alrighty, it’s still ridiculously hot here in Sydney, & it’s currently 43 degrees Celsius outside. So to beat the heat I’ve decided to play along with a card making challenge from the TGIF challenges blogspot.

Challenges are a great way to get your creative thoughts going & are fun to take part in. I wish I had more time, so that I could play along more often.

****Update 18.02.2017**** I’m super stoked to announce I was the winner of the #TGIF94 sketch challenge. I’m crazy excited about it, peer recognition is a truly lovely thing to receive :-). Many Thanks to the design team over at TGIF Challenges xo

This weeks challenge #TGIFC94 is a sketch challenge . The idea is that you create a card based on the chosen sketch. You can use any products you like & can even flip the orientation of the sketch layout if you like. I’ve posted a pic of this weeks sketch below, alongside my finished card.

As you can see, I’ve moved the focal point of the card from the left to the right.

Below are the Stampin’ Up! colours I’ve used for this card :-).

I had a lot of fun creating this card & doing the colouring in. I used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencils to lay down a nice strong base & then blended the colours using one of their Blender Pen’s. I then went back over some areas with the pencils to create more shadows in the appropriate places. In case you missed my progress updates on my Facebook page over the afternoon, I’ve posted the pictures in order of progress below.

I’m super pleased with how vibrant & fun this card has turned out. So if you’re feeling inspired why not have a go & take part in this challenge too. Simply click on the link to go straight to the TGIF Challenges page where you can find out all the details on how to play along.

Much Love, K xo

PS: Did you know that the lovely flower that I coloured in, is from the Inside the Lines Specialty Paper? Now you do! And what’s really exciting is that it’s currently available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. Simply place an order of $90 or more (before postage) & you can choose to receive this fantastic 12 x 12 inch paper pack for FREE!
